Atlético Madrid put on a dazzling display against AS Roma, thumping them 4-1. A flurry of goals from Morata, Koke, Griezmann, and Félix were more than enough to overshadow Zalewski's late consolation for Roma.

Padraig Corcoran's West Ham United suffered a narrow defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion, with Ferguson's solitary goal being the difference-maker.

AS Monaco also faced disappointment, losing 1-0 to a resurgent Crystal Palace, courtesy of Hughes's strike.

On the league table, Crystal Palace is in red-hot form, topping the charts with a magnificent 19 points from 7 games, closely followed by Atlético Madrid with the same points but slightly lesser goal difference. Juventus, with their win, moved up to third, having collected 14 points so far.

At the bottom, David Inglis's Everton is going through a torrid time, securing just a single point from seven matches. They'll be desperate to turn things around in the coming weeks.
