Statistics | Division 3 | Season 01

The tables and charts below are some stats I have put together from capturing each match and associated stats from the first seven (7) weeks of Division matches.  Plan to drop some more stats for Division 2 and for Division 1 over the next day or two.

Future posts (if I have the time) I will add some simple analysis, but for now I want to get some stuff out

First up, basic table with some average attendance figures

Next up, table with first seven matches possession, either winning, drawing or losing (across 630 minutes).  Also - total shots, shots on goal and goals scored, and then goals scored % vs shots taken (how close to the barn door are you shots) and goals scored vs shots taken on target (how efficient are your shots on target)

Lastly, a count across the first seven matches of how many goals you have scored, and how many goals you have conceded.

A look at goals scored across the 90 mins after the first seven fixtures (MD07), split by 0-45 minutes, 46-60 mins, 61-75 mins and 76-90 mins.  Teams listed from the top in league position last to first.  Wolfsburg stroking in the goals in last place, unfortunately conceding them a lot faster !

Taking the View 1 of the goals scored and converting to a percentage to get a visual view of when the goals are scored ... Rennes and Sporting CP need to check with fitness programs ... after half time they struggle to score anything ...

View of possession, league position 1 thru 16, across the first seven match days, home and away.  The green should be clustering towards the top of the table ... the red in the caboose.

Some teams want the ball ... some teams don't ... the mystery that is Wolfsburg .... 




Gala at home, can't hold onto the ball ?  Fiorentina and RB Salzburg dominate the ball at their house





Villarreal on the road figure that if you don't have the ball you can't score ... Nice and Lens can't hold find the ball on the road


Division 3 Naughty Naughty | Yellows and Reds




Maybe Villarreal has the other teams scared ... stomping all over the other teams and getting the early shower and suspensions.



Division 3 Goal Keeper Stats


Some GK stats, ranking each keeper and their performance evenly across Clean Sheets (*), Goals Conceded per Match (**), Average Match Rating (***) and Man of the Match awards (****).


Tables below show the Home and Away, Home and then Away stats

Perhaps a keeper change at Wolfsburg might .... just might help their league position










Wrapping up


Will put up the Division 2 and then the Division 1 stats like this over the few days.  There is a fair bit of work to shank down the stats from each match ... over time their is some history that will build up, and give us some options to do some more interesting stuff

Division 2 - Match Day 8

 Division 2 Matchday 8 brought forward a slew of captivating matches and unpredictable scores, solidifying the division's allure as a premier hub for thrilling football. Leading the charge, Crystal Palace showcased their dominance by defeating PSV with a brace from the legendary C.Ronaldo, who netted in the 33rd and 73rd minutes.
