Division 3 - Match Day 7




Division 3 Matchday 7 unveiled an array of unpredictable results and fascinating plays, solidifying the league's reputation as a hotspot of riveting football drama.


Kicking things off, Wolverhampton Wanderers registered a victory against the mighty Ajax, with Soumaré and Sarabia delivering the goods for the Wolves. However, Wijndal's strike was not enough to turn the tide in favor of the Dutch outfit.


A goal-packed encounter between Chris Enright's VfL Wolfsburg and FC RB Salzburg ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Both teams showcased their attacking prowess, with Draxler, Berge, and Bornauw netting for the German side and Adarabioyo, Traoré, and Pieper answering for Salzburg.


Villarreal CF, despite their home advantage, succumbed to RC Lens. Baena's late goal for the Yellow Submarine was insufficient against an own goal from Pedraza and Lukic's effort.


Olympique Marseille, under the watchful eyes of their dedicated fans, edged past Galatasaray SK, managed by Chris Buchan. The iconic Aubameyang was the difference between the two sides.


Fiorentina had a forgettable day at the office, losing 0-1 to FC Porto, led by Ricardo Alexandre. Gómez's strike was the only goal in a closely contested match.


Stade Rennais also experienced a bitter defeat, with André's late goal ensuring a win for Lille OSC.


OGC Nice failed to capitalize on their home ground, falling 0-2 to Sporting CP. Musrati and Horta ensured the Portuguese side left with all three points.


Lastly, SS Lazio and Alex Mabilia's Sevilla settled for a 1-1 draw. Despite Ramos's early goal for Sevilla, Keïta's late strike ensured both teams shared the spoils.


In the league standings, Olympique Marseille, with their latest win, have risen to the top spot, holding 15 points from 7 games. Alex Mabilia's Sevilla follows closely, occupying the second spot. Sporting CP, with their impressive victory, has moved up to the third position. 


On the flip side, Chris Enright's VfL Wolfsburg sits precariously in the 16th position, having secured only 4 points so far. The team will be desperate for a turnaround in the upcoming fixtures.


With Matchday 7 wrapped up, the excitement in Division 3 is palpable. As teams jostle for top spots and attempt to avoid the drop, the coming weeks promise more thrilling action and unpredictable outcomes.

 Division 2 Matchday 8 brought forward a slew of captivating matches and unpredictable scores, solidifying the division's allure as a premier hub for thrilling football. Leading the charge, Crystal Palace showcased their dominance by defeating PSV with a brace from the legendary C.Ronaldo, who netted in the 33rd and 73rd minutes.
