Division 3 - Match Day 8

 On Division 3's Matchday 8, there was a remarkable mix of goals, grit, and excitement, affirming the league's reputation as an unpredictable and engaging battleground.


Alex Mabilia's Sevilla maintained their unbeaten run, edging past Wolverhampton Wanderers with a 1-0 victory, thanks to D. Berardi's sole strike.


Ajax faced a setback, losing 3-1 to Chris Enright's VfL Wolfsburg. M. Pessina's goal was overshadowed by a formidable performance from Wolfsburg, who saw goals from S. Bornauw, S. Berge, and J. Draxler.


FC RB Salzburg emerged victorious in a tight contest against Villarreal CF, with a 2-1 scoreline. J. Weigl and H. Vanaken netted for Salzburg, while D. Suárez responded for Villarreal.

Sporting CP, despite a goal from D. Bragança, suffered a 1-2 defeat to SS Lazio. C. Immobile was the hero for Lazio with a brace.


In the league table, Alex Mabilia's Sevilla and Olympique Marseille are tied at the top with 16 points, but Sevilla takes the pole position based on goal difference. Ricardo Alexandre's FC Porto closely follows in third with 14 points.


Conversely, Stade Rennais remains at the bottom with a mere 4 points and would be desperate to turn things around in the upcoming fixtures.

 Division 2 Matchday 8 brought forward a slew of captivating matches and unpredictable scores, solidifying the division's allure as a premier hub for thrilling football.
